Course background

IRRV in Scotland is delighted to announce this important workshop that will cover key aspects of Operational Planning and Performance Management for revenues and benefits managers.

We are once again working in partnership with John Giblin to deliver this workshop that looks critically at operational planning and performance management in general and in particular within the context of the imminent go-live of UC live service.

Many of you will have attended John’s workshops before. Over the last 10 years he has delivered more than 60 workshops for IRRV and more than 95% of the delegates have rated them as very good or excellent.

For this particular workshop John will be joined by John Cunningham from East Lothian Council who will lead a session sharing his experience of being at the vanguard of UC live service roll-out.

More generally and within a revenues and benefits context this workshop will focus on the need for organisations to understand critically the extent of value being delivered and the ever-present threat of waste. The day will include sessions on:

  • Identifying the nature and volume of the value-adding demands
  • how best to plan their delivery and how human resources might be organised
  • how balanced performance measures and management systems can be used to provide management assurance and also inform continuous improvement.

As well as instructor led sessions on the above the day will have a good number of interactive sessions and syndicate exercises.

Finally, there will be some syndicate work to discuss how and when the learning from the day can be introduced back at the office.

The day will begin with coffee and registration at 9.30am and will conclude around 3.30pm to 3.45pm.

A full agenda will be available later for registered delegates.

The seminar represents excellent value for money, with seminar fees starting at only £125 + VAT. This includes lunch, refreshments, and training materials.

As places are limited, early booking is recommended. With many of the delegates from workshop one already signing up to the second and third event, it is essential that you book you places early so that you are not disappointed.

The IRRV regrets that, under normal circumstances, delegate fees cannot be refunded. However, delegate substitutions may be made at no cost at any time prior to the Seminar, subject to these being notified to the Institute.

Every fourth place from the same organisation booked for the course in this brochure (and made in the same booking) is entirely free of charge. Please note that, due to the demand for places, this offer applies only to the course detailed on the booking form on this brochure and applies to the lowest cost place.
