ARE YOU GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR PEOPLE?
DO YOUR PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT OBJECTIVES AND TARGETS?
DO YOU FIND YOURSELF OFTEN PUTTING OFF THOSE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS?

Course background

It is extremely rare for organisational performance failings to be remedied simply by fixing the process or developing new procedures.

Within a revenues and benefits context this workshop provides a practical introduction to understanding how good leaders engage positively with their people to get the most from them. The workshop will also provide some helpful insight into how teams might better perform. Finally, the workshop will provide a practical overview of how and when to tackle individual performance deficiencies.

There will be a practical introduction to understanding how we can better manage our human resources. In particular it will provide an overview of how :

  • good leaders can take staff with them positively towards their vision
  • to understand better teams and how to get the most from them
  • good targets can motivate staff and facilitate performance appraisal
  • continually putting off those difficult performance conversations is bad for the individual concerned, yourself and the wider organisation.

The day will also focus on how best to practically prepare for those difficult conversations. There will also be some exercises that allows time for practice in a safe environment.

Each session has time for questions and answers. And there will be an extended session in the afternoon for facilitated discussion.

We will close the day with an open forum to discuss how the day’s learning can be practically deployed back at the office.

The day will begin with coffee and registration from 9.30am and will conclude around 3.30pm to 3.45pm.

A full agenda will be available to registered delegates before the event.

As places are limited, early booking is recommended. The IRRV regrets that, under normal circumstances, delegate fees cannot be refunded. However, delegate substitutions may be made at no cost at any time prior to the Seminar, subject to these being notified to the Institute.
